Life planning practice focuses on the human side of financial planning, a process based on our extensive experience working with clients and rigorous training in the Kinder Institute’s life planning philosophy. Life planning involves helping you realize your goals and dreams. The process begins with understanding what is important to you; framing and putting time, quantity and quality dimensions to what is truly meaningful in your life. We work with you in managing your life’s resources to put your dreams on track to becoming a reality. We help you to understand why you make the choices you do about the accumulation and/or expenditure of your valuable and limited life resources:
• time
• money
• energy
• relationships
• talents
In this process, we explore the importance of what can be counted as well as those aspects of life, like joy, happiness and fulfillment – that can not be counted in your life. The goal of life planning is to help you create a life that truly works - a life filled with meaning, deep personal fulfillment and satisfaction.
Our process includes the following steps:
• Exploring your dreams - the things you must have, be, or do.
• Gathering and organizing your data and documents
• Discovering and prioritizing short and long-term goals
• Developing strategies for your financial life plan
• Providing written recommendations and alternatives to help you
achieve stated goals
• Guiding you through the implementation of your plan
• Updating and guiding the execution of your financial life plan on an annual basis.
Lenington Financial provides hourly based
consulting on a wide range of financial planning issues,
particulary retirement and budget focused. The process for engagement is the same, beginning with a 30-45 minute complimentary meeting to discuss your needs and to ensure that a good working relationship can be developed. At the conclusion of this meeting a fixed fee agreement will be provided so that you know the cost prior to making a decision to proceed.
